The need. A rural clinic can’t stop when the power does. At Palabana Clinic, outages put night-time births and the laboratory’s vaccines and samples at risk.
What we built. With When Females Lead, and as part of our CSR commitment, we installed a solar backup system: 1.35 kW of Jinko panels, 2.7 kWh of battery storage and a 3.0 kW inverter, in October 2024.
What it changed. The maternity wing offers safe care to mothers and newborns at night, and the laboratory keeps vaccines and samples at stable temperatures through load shedding.
